Retail and shopper marketing has been transforming steadily over the last 10 years as shoppers have grown more discerning and have taken greater controls of their own decision making instore, however, the unprecedented impact Covid-19 has had on the market in the past six months has expediated this rate of change and is forcing us all to adapt at a pace none of us anticipated.

As a result, everyone from brands to agencies, retailers and POP producers have been left to play catch up – scrambling to work out where our businesses, shoppers, and customer mindsets are now at, and how to anticipate behaviours and reactions we don’t quite understand yet ourselves.

The entire retail marketing landscape will be forever changed by the events of 2020, and one of the best defences we have to survive is sharing of insights, approaches, behaviours and industry wide research to enable us to move and act quickly.

Shop! has worked hard to quickly pull together a targeted two day online conference and information sharing event to provide direction and guidance from some of the biggest brands and experts across retail marketing and FMCG.

All content that will be shared over this two morning event is fresh and tailored specifically for where the retail marketing sector is at right now, and with anticipation of where we are headed in the next 12 months. While general retail has been offered plenty of resources, the retail marketing space has been somewhat of an after thought throughout Covid, and we are hoping that this event will be a catalyst for greater transparency and cooperation to ensure that all our roles and business functions remain viable for the foreseeable future.

Our presenters include big brand names such as Diageo, Nestle, Ferrero and SC Johnson, researchers such as IRI and IMI International, a UK perspective on creating engaging instore experiences by Dalziel & Pow, as well as the brilliant marketing mind and insights of MacMorgan founder, David Morgan.

We will tackle the topics on all our minds in current and post-Covid store environments, from adapting swiftly to changing shopper behaviours, personalisation, the role of shopper marketing and the importance of strong strategic and tactical vision with the view to providing attendees with some direction, inspiration and insights to take us into the next chapter of retail marketing in Australia and New Zealand.

Over two mornings on Tues September 15 and Wed September 16 (so you won't be stuck at your screen all day long!) we’ll take you on a deep dive into the current structure and future outlook of ANZ retail marketing and provide you with some ideas and solid direction on what you can do right now to best market your brands, as well as some examples of those who have already started down this path.

You'll have opportunities to ask questions of the presenters at the end of each section, and we'll leave time for short breaks throughout to stretch your legs and grab a drink.

As we’re all in a slightly less certain financial position right now, we’ve done our best to keep pricing very low to this event, with a strictly limited number of tickets available only. All tickets include access to digital recordings prior to the event.

Our speakers will be sharing directly from their own experiences over the last few months, in the hopes that it may assist fellow businesses and colleagues out there to gain back some confidence and meet the new market challenges head on.
