Tokyo Meets Adelaide as UNIQLO Opens its First-Ever Store in South Australia
The highly anticipated new store is conveniently located at Myer Centre, Adelaide’s largest shopping centre, along the city’s most prime retail precinct, Rundle Mall. Spanning over 900 square metres, South Australians will finally be to access and experience the full line-up in-store of UNIQLO’s Lifewear apparel for men, women, kids and babies. The store will also feature 11 fitting rooms for customers, as well as 5 self check-out machines to help provide locals the best shopping experience.
Kensuke Suwa, Chief Operating Officer, UNIQLO Australia says the team have been working hard over the past few weeks to get the store ready for opening.
“After receiving great demand and support from South Australians, we’re very excited to be opening our first-ever store in Adelaide, making this UNIQLO’s 30th store in Australia since the brand arrived in 2014. The UNIQLO Adelaide store team are looking forward to meeting locals, providing world-class customer service and helping them with our iconic LifeWear products – simple, high-quality, everyday clothing thought through with life’s needs in mind, and accessible for everyone,” Kensuke said.
UNIQLO Adelaide will welcome its first-ever customers from 10:00am, following an official ribbon cutting ceremony and a Japanese taiko drumming celebration. To run off the opening celebrations, UNIQLO will be providing free Japanese cheesecakes with yuzu curd created by South Australian Master Chef legend, Callum Hann, as well as a free gift bag to the first 1,000 customers who spend $100 or more. There will also be other exclusive opening offers for customers to help mark the Adelaide store opening.
The new store is situated at the Myer Centre, Shop 101-107 Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Customers are encouraged to visit the UNIQLO Australia website for further store details once it opens for trading.
